I have been a member of the Rail Passengers Association for over 10 years and have always been impressed by what they are able to do with the resources they have. If you want faster, better, and safer rail transportation, this is the organization to support.

Joined the RPA to get the 10% discount, but couldn’t out how to use it on the Amtrak site. Called the RPA, many times, no one ever answered the phone. Left many messages, never got a return call. Emailed the RPA, never got a reply. I think Amtrak service is good — the RPA’s stinks.

I take Amtrak whenever possible. While taking a flight ends up being very stressful and eating half a day of wasted time, I get so much work done on the train it pays for itself, yet somehow Im more relaxed at the end of the trip. If only the office was that relaxing and distraction free. My only issue is the lack of federal funding limits where rail travel is an option. RPA is out to change that and they have my support.

1/5/18 How many people have to die from negligence. Amtrak fatality record is astonishing. How long are you going to let this happen. Amtrak needs to be disbanded. I wouldn’t recommend putting my worst enemy on a Amtrak train. Between the safety record and the treatment you receive on the trains, it’s simply not worth it.
