This is a hidden neighborhood gem. From the street it looked closed but once you walk in, it's a very lively place where you can have a tasty lunch and catch a sports game. The actual mussles were nice and meaty and the service was prompt and friendly. For my order, I added shrimp. For the 5 upgrade, I literally had 5 pieces of meduim-sized shrimp. But overall, I was well-pleased with the mussels and the variety on the menu.
Great selection of mussels! No shortage of options for beer and mussels, this used to be our go-to happy hour spot. They recently increased their happy hour prices which has caused our group to start going elsewhere. The food is good quality and the ambience is small-pub style, although seating can be limited during peak hours, so you might need a reservation if you have a group. Friendly, quick service. If they kept their previous happy hour prices we would have kept this our weekly meeting spot.

I have tried many of the menu items and everything tasted great. The service is always awesome. Everything is cooked to perfection. I have introduced this place to my friends and everyone loves it. In addition to the variety of mussels you can find something that you would like here.
Every time I come to DC, I have to go here. They have 20 different types of sauce. You can order it by the pound. Usually I go with my spouse, and will order two different kinds and share them both. Get extra bread.
St. Arnold's offers delicious mussels and a large Belgian beer selection. The prices are fair but I'd recommend going during happy hour for an even better deal. The service is good but can occasionally be a bit inattentive when it's busy. The bartenders are great.
Nice hole in the wall place. Good atmosphere & good beer! I was never to fond of mussels but this place made me change my mind! Peter at the bar has great customer service. Will definitely be back.
