I have visited One:16 Bible Church several times, and it is a breath of fresh air! A strong commitment to boldly preaching historical reformed doctrine and refusing to yield to all of the pragmatic gimmicks of our day. Also an emphasis on intentional evangelism, including getting back to the biblical and historical emphasis on the public proclamation of the gospel outside the four walls of the church building. I have been attending this church since February 2019, and I cannot get enough of this place. The people love God and are so very friendly, the pastors preach the gospel and exalt Christ, and the Lord is honored and glorified every single day of the week. All gospel, no grumbling. All Christ, no compromise. Praise Him for this God-fearing local body of believers!

The church is very welcoming and I felt like part of the family there. The preaching is also very solid, which was refreshing with so much man-centered preaching going on in our day and age. One:16 Bible church is an oasis in the midst of a spiritual desert of churches. Christ is exalted there.

The first century church was built on love and doctrine. Contra far too many churches today, which are filled with cliquish members, trendy services, and unstudied pastors who are more cruise ship directors, rather than biblical expositors, One16 is a church that emphasizes the need for biblical doctrine and the practice of genuine love within and outside the church. Pastor Jeff Rose exemplifies the biblical calling of a pastor, and is an experience open-air evangelist. I have had the privilege to work with Pastor Rose on several occasions and have met the members and wonderful staff at One16. If you are visiting or looking for a church that is biblically rock-solid and a place to have genuine Christian fellowship, I would definitely recommend One16. I currently live in Los Angeles, but if I lived in the area, I would positively desire membership at One16.

The first question every Christian should ask when looking for a church is, why am I coming here and what am I looking for? If your answer is anything other than to know more of the glories of Christ through the Gospel and to worship God then you’re perusing the wrong thing. The second question should be, does this church have a strong commitment to the authority and sufficiency of scripture and to sound doctrine? The third question should be, do they preach the Gospel? Are they diligent in leading people to see their need for Christ. The forth question should be, are they committed to reaching the world with the Gospel even at the expense of popularity and the applause of others? Are they more concerned with the glory of God rather than the glory of man? I would argue that One:16 bible church is about upholding sound doctrine, preaching the Gospel, and making Christ known to a lost and dying world. They don’t have any flashy bells or whistles, light shows or rock concerts, but then again if that’s what your seeking I would appeal to you to go back and start at question #1.

i’ve been attending this church for a couple years now and i’ve never felt more welcome than any other place. They deliver amazing sermons week after week and it’s never the same thing over and over like most churches. It’s not huge like a mega church so you wouldn’t feel alone or ignored if you were to visit.
