This was such a beautiful area to hike when I took my son two years ago and now it's almost unrecognizable sure the waterfall is still there although it was almost impossible to find and it's awesome to see but the majority of the trails that were once there are gone it was absolutely heartbreaking to see all the trees cut down and for what......to expand the landfill or for a development?!

Loved this waterfall. This was a hidden gem I feel like. Not many other people were there which was nice. Very beautiful!
Just took my son there for a day hike and the company that owns the land cut everything down from the s turn all the way to the road. All the trails trees and rocks everything demolished to probably expand their landfill. Such a nice area close to home has been wiped off the planet. I think we may be the disease cause this pisses me off.
Very nice waterfall. Quite rocky trail getting to waterfall. Owned by Swatara Coal Company, posted as private property along road. 4 stars due to the amount of trash locals dump in ravine & broken beer bottles on trail.
Our first visit to Newtown falls! Easy walk back to the falls, nice waterfall with lots of little pools! I would recommend getting dropped off as there isn't much parking. It was a little disappointing to see so much trash at the beginning and glass near the actual falls.
Beautiful remote falls!
Water fall was beautiful, but the entire path there and all around the water fall is a literal dump site. Really disappointing and disgusting.
Great place for a photoshoot with Miss Felicia Ann. See more pics on her IG or FB @feliciaannmodel
