Great little family hike. Don't come here in you Sunday best though. Well walked trail, muddy at times, you will have to cross the stream a couple of times. So, you are likely to get your feet wet. The report has built a platform at the end so there are a lot of people right at the waterfall, but over all , it's worth the short hike to hear and see the water rushing over the rocks.

The dirt road to the trail head is steep and about 6 miles. Once on the trail, it's an easy hike mostly down hill and level. Some great waterfalls over the bluff for a dry December. When you get to Hawksbill Crag you won't be disappointed with the amazing views. Took us about 2.5 hours to hike to the crag and back about 2.8 miles round trip. We made alot of stops along the way to explore though. Allow at least two hours for this adventure. Early morning or late evening will get you the best pictures here. The hike back to the trail head has a couple of short but steep inclines. Doable if you are in moderate physical shape. Kids should be able to handle the hike well. CAUTION - cliffs with deep drop offs along the unprotected bluff trail.

A very short and easy hike with multiple falls along the way. The trail runs right next to the resort for some part of the way. Definitely a quick, family friendly hike.

Lovely short hike by a creek. We loved climbing around the creek bed and exploring by the waterfalls with our kids. There is a small waterfall before you reach the larger one. Beautiful area near town. Fairly easy natural path -- not paved. Will be muddy if it has just rained. Bug repellent a good idea if hiking near dusk. Mostly shaded hike.

Fun trail for all ages, but bring water shoes. There are several slippery creek crossings. My kids loved finding little snails in the creek, and wading in the pool under the waterfall. It isn't a swimming hole. The trailhead is by the Westgate Resort at the stop sign.
