Superb!! I don’t know which was better, the grill or fried pork chops. Had a side that consists of mash potatoes, corn, orka and an unknown ingredient that was the icing on the cake. Met the owner, the cook and a very optimistic front cashier receptionist that bragged on the food. She was absolutely % right. Didn't lie about a thing. However my favorite was the grilled pork chop. It was everything and more than what my son Roger said it was. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Made a review a couple days ago criticizing the food and service of this restaurant. Afterwards the owner reached out and invited me back for another chance. This time around the food was amazing. So I am editing my review because of the effort and total improvement from my 1st visit. But even better was the customer service from the owner himself and Cookie, the cashier. Both had great hospitality and I recommend to inform BBQ Johnson anytime you experience a problem. He’s a good guy and cares about his customers. He is very passionate about his restaurant and will most likely balance out the issue you have. Keep up the good work!

A awesome little place I stopped into the owners or cook and cashier were so friendly and nice ... I ordered a beef sausage sandwhich didn't like with grilled onion or mustard barb-q sauce only !! and fish sandwiches with cheese and pickle,(as requested)it was served on white bread, instead of a bun ! 4 stars instead of 5 stars , because I was expecting something different didn't get what I wanted.... still very delicious through !! also sampled the jerk chicken and sauce (chef kiss).. I will be back, you should go too !!

Honey Bay is one of the best places I've tried for BBQ. Soul Food Sunday is amazing. Mr.Johnson makes collard greens, candied yams and smothered pork chops. The pulled pork is fantastic. His spaghetti sauce is beyond belief, with multiple layers of flavor and just a hint of zing at the end. The homemade bakery delights, made fresh daily, are outstanding, especially the banana pudding. Their service is great, they treat you like family. Highly recommend.

So good. The brisket was tender but held together. The sauce was delicious. Steak fries, yum. Mac and cheese, great! Gonna try the pork chop sammich next time.
