I bought an Osburn pellet stove at the end of last fall from Long Pond Hearth & Home, it worked well for about a month and the pellets started jamming. The owner decided to replace the stove with another of the same variety. The new one lasted roughly a month and it too started jamming up on pellets. I was told it needed to be \cleaned\ after a 1 month life span. Then I was told it was cheap pellets (tractor supply pellets), then when my pellet stove jammed on pellets alone again I was told it needed to be cleaned again and I needed smaller pellets. Finally I had a contractor from Preston Trading Post come and examine the stove and he said it was poorly designed and would continue to jam up on pellets. Osborne has been no help and they are located in Canada so they appear to have no interest in fixing this situation. My pellet stove that was supposed to last for 10 or more years didn't make it one season. I recommend you get a pellet stove that does not need to be cleaned several times in the first season of use and buy your stove from a store that sells local brands.

I highly recommend the service and products at Long Pond Hearth and Home owned and operated by Steve Dugas. I researched a hot tub purchase for six months and Steve patiently answered (and sometimes had to repeat,) informatively and without condescension during the whole research period!. There is a lot to know about hot tubs and they can be very expensive. After exhaustive research, I am convinced the Nordic spa is the ideal tub for me, and the two brands Steve sells (Nordic and Bull Frog,) are the best built and purposeful in North America. Steve and his store associates are very kind and professional. They are always in a cheerful mood and will take the time to help you. We bought our Nordic Impulse DP just before Valentine's Day in 2018. Steve gave me a great price for my tub, delivered it, and helped me with advice and tools when we moved it to our new house at Christmas in 2018, I am extremely pleased with and highly recommend the products, customer service and overall experience with Steve and his crew at Long Pond Hearth and Home! I love the Nordic Impulse DP because unlike the tub we had that came with our previous home, it is round and has bench-style seating. It is so comfortable; it's like sitting on a living room couch while surrounded by soothing hot water. The whirlpool jet is awesome for putting my feet or back toward, and I appreciate that I can direct the jets and control their flow. I got the tub, cover, steps, and delivery for literally 3,000 less than any other area dealer for a 4-5 person tub, and no brand (carried around here that I know of,) other than Nordic offers a fabulous round tub. All in all, I am one seriously happy camper -- just about every day, with a cappuccino or Cabernet, depending on the time of day, with my Nordic from Long Pond!
Steve and Ron are wonderful. Excellent customer service and quality products. Over the years I have purchased from them a pellet stove, pellets and more recently a Bull Frog hot tub which has been an amazing addition to my home. Their support with each purchase has been invaluable. I deeply value them as a great local business and will continue to support them.
Excellent experience with Long Pond Hearth and Home. I purchased a propane heating stove at a great price and Steve and his chimney installer Ryan Cochrane of Complete Chimney Care and Services did a professional job installing it and following up after the install to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. It is and it looks and works great in the house.
Steve is our hero. Our pellet stove is the heart of our home. We are warm and snug, all winter long!!
