The boat is first class and Rob’s knowledge of fishing is great. He took out 2 “old” navy buddies and we would go to battle with Rob and his boat anytime! We had such a good time and caught fish as well. We’ll definitely be fishing with Rob again.

Best time I’ve had on the lake. And Captain Rob is SO fun! He also has a great attitude and was very hospitable with coffee and small pastries for us to start the day. His boat is brand new with a bathroom and cabin with a space heater. We ended up catching the biggest brown and rainbow trout I’ve seen come out of Lake Almanor. Highly recommend! Oh and it was priced well
My partner and I had a wonderful and relaxing time on the lake. We both caught our biggest brown trout ever. Every time my partner takes me fishing I always have anxiety when it comes to the bathroom situation. Luckily the bathroom was like a spa experience compared to most boats. It was a treat to have Olive on the boat too. All in all good vibes. Cant wait to fish again (in luxury)!
I recently retired, moved to the area, and decided to treat myself to a charter fishing trip on Lake Almanor. I looked at most of the guides advertised online, reached out to a few, and was impressed by Captain Rob's immediate responses and willingness to go out mid-winter. Being a senior citizen, the fact that his boat had a functioning bathroom was nice bonus. We hit the water at dawn on Superbowl Sunday. The temp was mid-twenties, there was snow and ice on the docks, and huge sheets of ice across the lake, but it didn't matter. We were across the lake and fully-rigged in no time. We had literally just poured our first cup of hot coffee and it was FISH ON, and the bite just kept coming! Over the next few hours we caught 6 nice Brown's (the largest was 7.5 pounds) which we released, and 2 nice Rainbows which I took home. All of this action and I was still home for Superbowl kickoff. The boat is squeaky clean, the cabin is warm and dry, the equipment is all like-new, and the atmosphere is light and fun. Captain Rob made me feel like I knew what I was doing, (even though he probably had to repair some of his equipment after I got off the boat). The experience far exceeded my expectations and I look forward to going back soon.
This Charter was awesome nonstop action and caught over 15 fish with multiple fish over 5 pounds. The Guide is a great guy and really good at his job.
We had a great time. We were very impressed by the boat and equipment. The bathroom and heater made it comfortable to fish all day. Captain Rob is a pro he put us on the fish. We are hooked on Captain Rob
Absolutely amazing fishing trip! Thank you Capt Rob for spending your day with us and sharing your knowledge on Lake Almanor and fishing and catching fish. The day was perfect and the memories are priceless.
Four of us spent the day on Captain Rob's beautiful cabin cruiser! We caught several 3 to 9 pound trout; we enjoyed the heated cabin and hot coffee; and loved the convenience of an onboard private bathroom! I don't know of another guide who has an onboard bathroom!
