I wanted to go on a hike for Thanksgiving day, and decided on Quanah Hill. First time here and it was easy to get to from IH 20, along with only being 30 minutes from Fort Worth. Nice, compact trail area, with lots of twists and turns. Others on the trails hiking/biking were friendly, and was lucky enough to get some good pictures. Will be coming back, and maybe on my bike this time!

The WMBC has done a really amazing job here. Lots of switchbacks and it's easy to get turned around if you do this in the dark and don't have a good headlamp. Be cognizant of bike riders and yield to them here, the trail is narrow and there's a lot of sharp ups and downs. Don't pop those earbuds in on this one, you may need to quickly get out of the way. Bike riders and hikers have specific directions in which they should be traveling, which is outlined by great signage. I logged just shy of seven miles. I didn't see a single person here as I started at 6 AM, but share the trail and be careful y'all! \u003c3

This is a nicely designed xc trail with a few somewhat intense climbs but they pay off with some fast and fun descents. A little on the short side at just 7 miles but worth it. You get some beautiful views along the way and you'll probably meet at least a few deer while you're out here too.

My husband mountain bikes here, and one day he encouraged me to trail run. I used to be an avid road runner but stopped enjoying running after training for years and being injured. However, now you can’t keep me away from the trail. There’s no place I’d rather run, and it’s challenging for sure. It’s also peaceful, cathartic and beautiful. I see wildlife and so love running under the trees with the leaves falling. I haven’t tumbled yet, but I’m sure it’ll happen. I’ve found my running legs again, and I’m so happy to enjoy God’s creations in nature while getting a great workout in as well. Enjoy!!

Fun trail! We spotted several deer families while we Mountain Biked. It's overall an easy-medium skill trail, no significant jumps or drop offs, but lot's of steep climbs and hills. I finished it with my 12yr old son, no problem. Bring spare tubes, as parts of the trail are quite away from trailhead.
