I came here some time ago and was impressed. They have a community museum with a short history of the area. The history included the native americans that lived here, native animals, and the settlers that came to Wenatchee. A tour of the powerplant is also included with how they solve the problem of fish migration. You will learn a lot. This is a great place to learn a bit about history and how they generate power to the whole community.

I first went to the Rocky Reach Dam visitor as a grandkid. Now I had the privilege of being my inquisitive grandkid here for a fun educational experience. I personally like the history exhibits. He liked the rock displays. Every time I come they improve the grounds. The landscaping alone is worth a look. The new playground is also well done. My grandson made fast friends there.
Great 1hour stop to see the salmon in the fish ladder and watch the movie about how the dam was constructed. Honestly, skip the museum, unless you’re into geology, Indian history, or early Columbia River development.
Very cool to see the dam at a closer view. Had windows to see salmon swimming. Great playground in the complex.
The visitor area of Rocky Reach Dam is a very unique place in the valley that one can visit for a variety of reasons. First, there are the art and educational displays inside. Second, the fish ladder viewing windows that appeal to visitors of all ages. Third are the picnic area and playground that get loads of use over the summer. It's close enough for a quick visit, yet interesting enough to spend some time there doing different things.
Must watch. We stopped here for an hour while driving back home from Chelan. Amazing place for a short visit.
Great plase to visit. Amazing staff and the place to very well maintained. There is a nice cafeteria. This is true gem on the way to lake Chelan. We can see the fish, turbine and there is a very good Indian museam. Please reserve around 2 hours for this spot. Kids loved the place. Best part free parking and entry.
Our experience was very favorable! A fun/clean playground for the kids that the adults can easily oversee. Beautiful flowers for everyone to enjoy!!!!!! Covered shelters with plenty of picnic tables, etc.!!!! Great facility for the family!!!!
