Two aspects of this company are included in this review - their selection/pricing/availability as well as their customer service. They have tools and equipment and supplies that I sometimes wonder \where would you even go to buy that?\. The prices are decent, especially if you watch for sales and promotions. Customer Service - I called the 1-800 number regarding a return/refund on something that I had just purchased within the last 2 weeks that went on super-sale. I was willing to take the new-in-the-box item back to the store, return it, and then buy a new one at the current sale price. But they just looked up the information while I was on the phone and applied the difference back to my credit card. No hassle or issues. I expected to have to explain more and make a case for why that would indeed be a reasonable approach, but I didn't need to do that. The customer service person was very friendly, very helpful, and the experience drove me to think \I must write a review\. I mentioned that I bought something from these guys to one of my co-workers and he said he also loves NT. We get their catalogs at work, and it is great to know there are companies like this out there. I'm sure they have some issues. But it seems like they are reasonable and just want to be the best they can be. My experience was with the Appleton, WI (Grand Chute) store. And with the 1-800 number for customer service, Marissa. Very good all around. All the employees at the store seemed helpful while we were there and not rushed or rude.

From start to finish the salesman named Philip was the most pleasant man I have ever met. He was extremely helpful on a power washer that I bought for our business. We are in the exterior cleaning business and I have never boughten anything from Northern Tool. I only buy from these boutique places that specializes in our cleaning equipment. Well, that is going to change now because their customer service is phenomenal and their equipment is well built. Shaun the manager was top notch as well and helped me out with the questions I had on the warranty service plan we purchased. My company ChicagoLand SoftWash & Power Wash really appreciate that Northern Tool is only an hour and 20 minutes away. We can jam cheese down our throats and beef jerky from Mars Cheese Factory on our way up! Phil, thank you again for being genuine and just being an awesome guy!
