I had a blast here! They have so many animals all over. The map isn't completely accurate so its easier to just walk the path and enjoy it. There are so many different types of animals all over and so many of them will eat right from your hand! You'll definitely want to buy a feed bucket or 2 as it'll be worth it. Even if you don't use it all the animals in the petting zoo will eat the rest. It was well worth the 2hr drive from Door County. Id love to come back again next year too!

After having a baby me and my wife figured we should start getting in the swing of family time. Went to a couple different zoos and shalom was the best by a long shot! First off it’s huge, you can walk or take a golf cart. Walking took us about 2 hours to get through with the usual stops. It’s also very nice to see a zoo that gives the animals room and land to roam. Another great thing about this zoo is there are so many species of animals we were blown away and you can actually get up close and personal with a lot of the animals! Overall just awesome. Very reasonable price, lots to do to get moneys worth. Definitely will be visiting year after year!

We visited Shalom Wildlife Zoo on a Wednesday. It was fairly empty. The 5 feed bucket was a great size. The animals all seemed healthy and well-cared for. My kids loved feeding the animals. The little toys in the learning centers were a big hit too. We walked and we were fine, but it was over 3 miles. You can rent golf carts.

Not cheap to get in for a family, but unlike the Milwaukee zoo, parking is free, leaving extra money to buy a bucket of corn to feed the various animals throughout the park. You may walk or if you want may rent a golf cart. You will see a large variety of animals in their native habitats, but sometimes you have to search for them because they are hiding, or their simply missing from their habitats. Lots of good posted information for visitors to learn many interesting facts about the animals. Enjoyed the various posted information about the native Americans, and visiting the learning hut. One down side is that you begin & end your visit by going through the gift shop, which is how they make extra money, but it's hard on the parents to try & drag your kids out of there without buying something. They also sell snacks & drinks here, but they do have a separate building where they sell food. Prices for food and drinks are comparable with the other zoos in Wisconsin. Good sized zoo & a long enough walk to tire most kids out.
