I really had very good experience with Marshall Music in West Bloomfield. We were new in town, and reached there as Walled Lake Schools directed us there. We rented clarinet to buy later and got servicing also done there couple times. We always had smooth communication, the customer service is great (I have talked to almost every one there). Besides renting the instrument there, my child also took classes with Carl Gippert since early 2016. What an amazing teacher rather Guru I should say he is! He is the best teacher we have encountered with. Definitely all the teachers there are amazing and give their best to groom the students. Always see coming the happy students out of the class. I highly recommend this location. Thanks Brandon and Mike, and everyone there!

When buying used instruments or haveing instruments appraised please compare pricing to other large used instrument shops. Their pricing is incredibly optimistic. Paying a premium for the service a local shop brings is well worth it. However it is not worth double the market value.

My family and I have been coming to Marshall Music in West Bloomfield for ten years now. They have been an invaluable resource for many things, including purchasing a clarinet for my daughter when she was in band and all the supplies and repairs associated with that. I purchased my first guitar there almost five years ago, and am now taking guitar lessons from Tim at this location. Everyone has always been very professional and helpful and I am so glad we have found this place. Learning to play music (at my age, LOL!) has been the joy of my life.

Marshall Music has been instrumental, literally and figuratively, in helping my son succeed in band at school. When a tenacious instrument was causing my son headaches, Paul was amazing at helping us find just the right fit. He along with Mr. Gippert, his instructor, have inspired my son to continue from Middle School to High School with band, both marching band and jazz. His goal is to make the Wind Ensemble. All of this enthusiasm would have been short lived had he not had the support from the staff at Marshall Music. Brandon is great to work with when life happens and you need to reschedule or cancel a lesson (granted you give them enough notice) and if they are out of reeds or any necessary items you may need, they will have them in quickly as to not set your child back with lessons at school. Their prices for supplies are comparable to those I have found on Amazon. Marshall Music staff, instructor, and repair department have been nothing but a positive experience for us and their considerate customer service is stellar and appreciated.
