From a bygone era, the Cascade Theater was one of the few drive-in theaters left in the Chicago area. Alas, it closed, and now it sits vacant, awaiting developers’ bulldozers. So sad it’s gone.

Wonderful family environment. Food is reasonably price. Ample amenities. Playground for the kids was a plus. My car wouldn't start, they were totally prepared and responded right away. Got me going and home in no time. Staff was very courteous and friendly.

Sad to say this place is not running any more. I grew up going here. It was always a great time and fun place. Food is what you would think is a a drive in stand. You can bring your own stuff also. Just a great place that will be missed.

My visit here today was a sad one because they are closing their doors, since 1953, and selling off everything under their roof. We said goodbye to a timeless palace of family memories for us. We've been going there since 1994, and for the years 2000 and 2001 we were the first car in on the first day open. It was an institution, and now it's a memory. Addendum: Have heard that they will be having another sale day. Not sure yet when, or even what they will be selling. All I can say is that when I left the first sale, they had not knocked down the screen. (Now this is just one persons' assumption, due to the fact that I also own a piece of another previously torn down drive in movie theater's screen.) Just saying.

Overall, the drive-in part of watching a movie is great. The price of admission is not bad and the movies are somewhat current. The only downside is the concession are just not there. It's old and the food is super processed. Go for the movie experience but definitely skip the food. Pro tip ”Bring your own.”

Great time, daddy daughter time. If I lived closer would go more. But make once or twice a year

GREAT value for viewing two films! Good value on huge selection of typical lower quality concessions (candy, popcorn, hot dogs, fries, pretzels, nachos, candy, & more) but nostalgic and fun! Keep the drive-in in business! Bad blood with neighboring Scooby's, no Scooby's takeout allowed on site :( playground under the big screen for kids
