Such a beautiful beach. You can either take a walk on the long asphalt parking area or on the sand. It's a great place to watch sunrise and sunset being it's wide open. For a day at the beach, you just park the car, climb over the wooden barrier, and you can just set up right there. That's one of the best parts that you don't have to walk far. There are about 3 bathroom houses, the main one has a snack shack and playground nearby. Not sure if they really use the 3rd bathhouse down anymore. All through the summer the beach is groomed. When the lot is 100 percent open again, you'll be able to drive all the way down to the Bass River mouth. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars, they stop charging at 5pm. It used to be 4pm. It be nice if later in the season, last 2-3 weeks of August, they can stop charging alittle earlier.

A south side beach with plenty of parking perpendicular to the beach, West Dennis Beach features stunning sunrises and sunsets. Kite flyers, kite boarders, surf boarders, and beach lovers appreciate the surf and the long shoreline. Although the sand is not sugary like that on Mayflower Beach, the West Dennis Beach offers a more active beach. In the off-season, it is a great place to walk with leashed pups. Bicyclists enjoy adding the long parking lot to their route. In the summer and beyond, W.D.B. is a great place to be.
A wonderful beach to go during the summer. Definitely one of my favorite beaches on the Cape. It's Also the beach that hosts the BLESSING OF THE BIKES every may.
Great beach for learning kite boarding. If the tide is right you can stand up in most places but careful when the tide is low. Launch area is all the way down past chair 8 at the very end by the jetty. There is a rules sign posted down there and the local kite school Inland Sea Windsurf Co. teaches there often. Be respectful of the rules and help the kite school out. The community is very friendly.
