I went on a Saturday for the Brunch. The food was Delicious!!! The Waitress was constantly coming back to refresh my beverage and to make sure everything I had ordered was to my satisfaction. I highly recommend Gilroy's. The Staff was smiling and really seemed to enjoy their jobs. Great Job Everyone.

We had four in our group that stopped for brunch. It was the first time back since Covid hit. One star automatically for having Pepsi. They have it arranged that you pick 4 items to start and then you can add on from there. The portions were pretty good sized. We started with the loaded egg scramble, the loaded potatoes, bacon and Corn Flake French toast (we had a toddler in our party). We added the fruit right away. Every thing was delicious......especially the bacon. I rate the first basket at 110/100 and the 2nd basket of bacon.....yes the 2nd basket because you can never have too much bacon....rated that 100/100. The French toast was unique. It was a little harder than what one would expect but dipped it in syrup and the taste was really great! The 2nd round we ordered more eggs, bacon and had to try the biscuits and gravy this time around. Husband said the b&g were “solid”. Overall, they are have shifted their brunch buffet due to the pandemic and quite frankly......I like it better this way!

Overall great experience! Exceptional service ( thanks Carl* and Lindsey* for a warm welcome to West Des Moines). Great brunch menu/ drink selection and decent portions for 2 to share. The mimosas we're bottomless indeed! The heated patio was nice and cozy on a brisk day, but all the warm air was hovering overhead. Would've been nice to have more even heat circulation.

Food was fantastic. Figured it would be good, but was really blown away. Salmon was perfect. Patio with heaters was perfect for tonight. It can be quite cold outside but still comfortable on their patio. Even let us \box up\ our Moscow Mule pitcher to go...which was great btw. Super impressed. Sorry no photos, we don't get down like that.

This place is excellent and the service was great! The cheese curds were honestly probably the best I’ve ever had. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the price point. The food is already a little on the pricey end but they also charge for sides of sauces which was kind of a bummer to realize on our bill. Anyway, our server was awesome and the food was really good. Not a place to go if you want a quick or inexpensive bite though.
