This place is AWESOME! Best staff and always willing to teach you about gear, skate sharpening or whatever you need! John and Devin really stand out for service and always happy to see you! This is where I go for all my Hockey needs, don’t go to Dicks or shop online unless it’s Jerry’s online! Thanks for the help always! Brent Hansen

Always a great experience at this Jerry’s! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and customer focused. Devin has done a fantastic job improving the customer service at this location. I have my skates and sons skates sharpened many times at this location and will keep coming back as they do an excellent job consistently. Great job Jerry’s transforming this location to one of the best in the area.

Stopped in May 7th and was greeted by the manager, Devin. He introduced himself and asked how he could help me. I had him sharpen my skates, which were done perfectly. His professionalism and knowledge about everything hockey was impressive. I would highly recommend the West Dundee Jerry's, and Devin in particular, for your hockey and figure skating needs.

Don't let the current 2-star rating sway you into not giving this location a chance. They have a some new staff in place. Had my best experience there recently in years. Devin is now head of operations - doesn't take long to sense his enthusiasm and care for customers. If you haven't been there for a while, I suggest you give it go.

Update. There’s some new blood in the store great people with great attitudes and very helpful. I will be giving them my business again.

The guy that runs this place has to be one of the rudest men I have met in some time now. Surprised he is still employeed, kind of makes me question the type of business Jerry's wants to run with him as their front man. I show up at 2:02 pm and proceed to enter the double doors - 2:00 is the posted opening time. They are locked, however the lights are on inside. Out of the few different signs posted on the doors, I now see one while double checking the hours that it reads "closed for inventory". I noticed a man inside that won't make any eye contact with me. I decide to double check the internet to see if it says anything about being closed. I then go over to the lady behind the skate rental and ask her if she knows anything about it. She said that Jerry's rents the space and is indepentant from them. She also said that she doesn't know whey they are closed. Since I drove about 30 mintues to get here, I decided to try again and see if the man would let me know what time he expected to be back open. I noticed that he was somewhat close to the front doors scanning product, so I stepped up and lightly tapped on the door glass. He looks up at me with this "are you stupid or something look" and then started pointing to the door sign I guess. I try to ask him through the doors when he would be back open and he stated in a harsh, kind of like an adult talking to a child that broke something valveable, "after the inventory". I asked if he could just do a skate sharping then, and in good old misrable fashion he said NO. He then walked away while I proceeded to ask if he had an idea of how long it would take. It's more than clear this guy doesn't like his job nor does he care that his negativity brings to the company's name. I ended up going over to Jerry's in Schumburg and was helped as one would expect. Even tried on a few skates.

Seems like a common yet consistent lack of customer service here. Walked in before a game to get a set of skates sharpened... time 7:54 pm. The old man with silver haor and glasses told me to step back outside that they were getting ready to close. I responded, "I just need a skate sharpening" and the guy went ballistic! No sense of customer service or knowledge of the internet. Rated 0 out of 5 if I could but I had to give 1 star just to post this.

Poor customer service, skate sharpenings and selection of products. It's become a joke, in the locker room, how bad the guy that's usually there is at skate sharpening. If you need something last minute I can understand why you'd go here, but it'll only be a last resort type of shop.
