8/30/2020 Was my first visit in 6 years. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I'd also like to point out I PAID to get in. We arrived around 11 am and by the end of our day were only able to get on 3 rides. It took over 30 minutes for temp check. 1.5 hours for Sky Rocket 45 minutes for Potato Patch fries and then then there was nowhere to sit. Waited an hour for the Phantom's Revenge, 25 minutes for a Dip Cone, 30 minutes for the Old Mill and a large fight broke out while we were in the gift shop. Completely understaffed, overcrowded some walkways were blocked by people waiting in lines. Mask use was lacking and social distancing was ignored. I remember coming here as a kid and this park is a shadow of it's former self. It's really sad. I feel ripped off by this entire experience so congrats kennywood you got my money but you won't get anymore of it anytime soon. Sadly I cannot recommend this park.
We had a great time at Kennywod park even during the COVID times. We wore masks and distanced in line and really it worked well with the exception of having to ask a group of teens to back up from usin line. Most adults, families and such were great about distance but the teen crowd def struggled with following the guidelines. The staff enforced mask and distance rules as well as sanitizer before riding! The lines were still normal wait time , about 30 min per ride, even with less people because the rides are only half full. We really really enjoyed The Phantoms Revenge and rode it twice!!! Unfortunately The Steeler Coaster was closed and the other steel coaster at the entrance was only running one car so the wait was too long to ride. :( We waited to ride The Exterminator without really knowing what it was.. the wait was kinda long for such a very short ride however the ride itself was super fun and truly unique and we really enjoyed it! The Plunge water ride was great and had the fastest turn around so we rode that twice as well. Unfortunately the river raft ride was closed as well and didn’t look like it had been open in a long time, I wish that had been noted somewhere as I was really looking forward to it. Overall we had a blast and would definitely visit Kennywood again. We did get half off tickets though and I’m not sure we would go again for full price with all of the rides that were closed..
I’ve been coming here since I was little. It is always a blast. The Phantoms Revenge is my favorite ride along with the Sky Rocket and the Racers of course! The park is always clean and there is always stuff to do! Never a bad day here. Can’t leave without trying the Potato Patch Fries and some ice cream!
Today was a hard day, only 2/3 rides open and it was hard wearing the mask all day but they did accommodate with rain check tickets but not until next year. My son wants to buy and reserve a day this upcoming weekend hopefully it won't rain and I would give 5 stars then I'll keep you posted
