My son started Harry L Bain this year and was in Ms Martha's class for kindergarten. Please beware of this teacher. She traumatized my son so bad. She would yell at him and make an example of him to the rest of the class because he was struggling to keep up with the work. My son would cry morning noon and night about having to go to her class. She would allow the other children to call him cry baby and while he would struggle to finish his work the children would say how much of a bad student he was because he wasn't catching on as fast as they were. I couldn't understand what was going on, it was hard for me to believe a teacher would allow this behavior in her class. Till one day I went to pick up my son and in front of him she was telling me how cute she thought it was when another little girl in her class picked up my sons worksheet and said \tisk tisk Ms Martha he hasn't fixed his work\ as she told me this she was laughing while my son standing next to me had his head down. She was also saying in front of my son how smart the other little girl was. She would complain everyday about how my son cried and couldn't keep up. This teacher made me sick to my stomach. It was so hard for me to believe this was happening. After the last conversation with her when she laughed about children mocking him I finally said enough is enough and requested for him to go to another class. I promised my son he would never have to go back to Ms Martha's class and since then my son entered a new class and has showed great progress and no longer cries but he still speaks about his traumatic experience in Ms Martha's class. It breaks my heart that I didn't realize sooner what this teacher was doing to my son. I'm only sharing this because she still works at the school and I hope to help other parents who may go through a similar experience catch on to the signs earlier than I did.

So far completely useless. I 've been calling since school started and NO ONE answers a phone nor calls back. How do parents resolve issues if the board and superintendent's office aren't reachable?
The middle school is a miserable place for a student, in addition the education system is horrible.
