Easy access for kayaks. Although there is not an actual kayak launch here the gravel into the water worked. My kids have a rudder on there kayaks which made it a little more challenging but nothing to prevent us from going again.

Beautiful scenery! Fun way to get some exercise and enjoy Michigan! The guys were very helpful.
Water's always come good little launch nice place to get away.
A beautiful place to put in a kayak. Lots of opportunity for the fisherman, not too far from the big lake.
Close to parking. Easy access to the water. Nice open area to launch into. Down stream there's a lot of duck weed. Bugs didn't seem to be an issue but I wasn't there long.
The launch itself is great. Easy to get to, easy to park, and it is only a few steps before you get to the water to launch your kayak. Makes it easy for those of us who don't have much muscle strength! It is also very pretty. I can imagine how incredible it is during autumn. FYI, the cement blocks seen in the water are remnants of a railroad bridge that once crossed the river. This railroad came all the way up from Chicago.
Great launch spot! Very simple, back right in. Very still water, good for all ages. We had a tandem Old Town kayak there and four of us enjoyed it immensely. There was a guide there (Kayak Kayak) by coincidence and we got to talk with them for a bit. They are there frequently with a lot of options/rates available. Picnic table and port-o-potty there so its a good quiet spot to start an adventure!
Gorgeous nature views, very serene, and there's a rope swing along the way! Floating down stream is great, but you have to fight the current on the way back up - no one-way float option. Great in a kayak, semi-difficult on a paddleboard.
