If you are looking to take an easy walk, not taxing at all, this is for you. The main path is presently closed due to flooding so be prepared for a really short stroll about a mile. After three laps I grew bored but the landscape was beautiful and hopefully I will return after the flooded area dries up.

It won’t take that much out of you to enjoy the beauty of nature, 2-3 hours guaranteed . You can have a little picnic or just enjoying the view, taking selfies, riding your bike, hiking , whatever you want to do. incredibly inviting.

This is a beautiful walking trail! Unfortunately, the trail doesn't always weather well. (2/2021) Apoxee Trail is currently closed. There are other trails in the Preserve. There is a small paved loop under a canopy of trees. I'm guessing that runs 1/8th of a mile. There is a well cleared bike path under the powerlines that runs for several miles.

ALOT of the trail is under water right now, even in the dry season. Southern portion is wetter than I've ever seen it. I still love it. It's the best, just be ready to go Barefoot!

The trail was closed due to rehab work and it looked underwater. I'm sure the trail is nice when it is drier. Did go to the nearby Owahee trail. This is a good trail but also susceptible to standing water from the wetlands. Got about 1.5 miles in when it was pretty mucky to go much further.
