Started music together classes through matrix music studio with my 16mo after she was assessed for speech delays. When I asked what we could do to help her speech in addition to speech therapy the therapists response was music together. She was right. Almost 8 months later and my daughters love for music and communication through music has blossomed. We sing the songs at home at her request and my older kids 4 and 6 love the times they have been able to attend class. Miss Katie is a complete joy and her energy lifts up the mood of everyone in class. My #1 activity for my daughter and our entire family has benefited.

My girls (1yo and 3yo) started the Music Together class with Katie at Mattix Music Studio this Fall, and we have LOVED IT. The class is thoughtfully designed to provide a musically enriched curriculum that encourages children to learn and explore music through singing, dancing, following rhythmic patterns, and playing with musical instruments. My 3yo is a mover and prefers to run, jump and spin. Music Together offers her the perfect opportunity to move and enjoy music in a safe and engaging manner. My 1yo has always showed a strong interest in music, but a strong aversion to anyone other than family. In just two months, she now runs to sit in Ms. Katie’s lap during songs. My 5yo son joined in on a class and had a blast. As a mom, I am always on the look out for activities that will engage all three of my kids. As an adult who doesn’t have a musical bone in her body, I am enjoying the class as I learn right along with my kids. My 5yo son started Suzuki piano class with Ms. Sharon this Fall. We are so excited with how much he has learned in such a short period of time. He loves working with Ms. Sharon, and his dad and I are very impressed with how well she keeps him focused and engaged for 30 minutes of piano lessons. She reads his cues so well and mixes up the lesson activities according to his energy level. My son also loves the group classes that happen 1-2x a month. What blows us away the most is his persistence with learning something new and his increased confidence. We have Ms. Sharon and Mattix Music Studio to thank. We highly recommend Mattix Music Studio to anyone. We look forward to continuing music classes with them for years to come.

Katie Mattix has made the learning process of how to play the piano SO much fun for my daughter. She even went piano shopping with us to help find the right piano for our family. I highly recommend Mattix Music Studio for a creative way to learn how to play the piano or violin.
