Come for the experience and the pancakes. Be sure to dress warm if it's a cold day. The new highly energy efficient system doesn't throw as much heat. The pancakes are delicious and the eggs are cooked perfect. Just eat the eggs first because they'll get cold quickly on a cold day.

Steve's sugar shack was awesome. From the sugar cooks to the servers, everyone was friendly and pleasant. We did not know that it was cash or check only and they offered to send a bill in the mail, that is truly impressive!! The food was great and the experience was top notch. Thank you for such a nice treat!!

Wonderful experience. Pancakes, butter and real maple syrup in a true \sugar shack\. Simple wood panel, concrete floor, warm and extremely friendly staff and Steve walks and talks with the customers. Syrup production is on the upper platform with steam venting into the restaurant. Young children get to look through the windows and observe the production. A magical experience that should be on your bucket list.

A gem of Western Mass. The whole eatery is actually built around the maple syrup boiler that Steve built there. He will give you a tour of the place and show you his prized toy: the wood furnace maple maker. It's a sight to behold. Best pancakes I have EVER tried. Gigantic and super thick. But it's all just a vehicle for the copious amounts of syrup that you'll pour on top. Just breakfast goodness in all it's splendor.
