I believe what you order here will definitely make a difference in your experience. I had a bunch of different things... Oysters - fantastic and fresh Crab cakes- very average. Wouldn’t recommend. Muscles/clams - Unreal in quality. Biggest and freshest muscles I have had. Coconut broth compliments it very well. Venison - cooked perfectly. Salmon - nothing special at all really. Have had better quarter of the price. Dark chocolate and vanilla ice cream dessert with toffee - so damn good. Also had a cocktail that was watered down and not very enjoyable. Overall I guess I’m giving the four stars because with the high prices I would expect better across the board and less hit or miss.

Wonderful place, its like a little slice of home for me. We visited early on a Friday evening and had the pleasure of meeting the chef who is very enthusiastic about the freshness and quality of his products, many of which he imports directly from New Zealand. We ordered the seafood tasting menu and were absolutely stuffed by the end of the meal. My favorite dish was the ceviche, I only wish it had more fish in it. We will be back again soon to try the meat tasting menu.

Superb meal once again. A true reflection of modern New Zealand cuisine with nothing overlooked... Waiwera water, Pavlova and the courses noted in Te Reo to mention a few delights. Ka pai!

Delicious food & incredible service! The owner went out of his way to make our experience extraordinary by supplying our pregnant friend with the sweet potato crisps she'd been craving for weeks. Highly recommend for brunch. Try the passion fruit mimosa, made fresh from the vine.

Three of us had dinner here and loved all the selections we made. The outdoor seating area is lovely and the tall heaters kept us warm. We all decided we will come back, the food is exquisite and wine menu excellent. We had a bottle of Grenache called A Tribute To Grace 80 which was fantastic. We left after sharing a dessert feeling 'that was an awesome night'. Well done guys.

We have been here a few times, and every time we try something new. The scallops are amazing, love the beets, and the mixed meat platter. Great food, great drinks and great ambience

As others have mentioned priced high so expectations are high. 16 drinks, 14 glasses of wine, 40 entrees it should be really good. Service was OK, ceasar salad was bland. Crab cake appetizer had 3 "crab cakes" slightly larger in diameter than a quarter. Fish we had was OK but the vegetables were under cooked and hard as a rock. 6 people about 600. Probably won't go back.

Found quite by accident. Owner did a great job explaining the menu and wines. My wife & I shared the roasted peach appetizer - delicious! She had the Salmon (Water to restaurant in \u003c30 hours) and I had the lamb sirloin. Both were excellent. And the New Zealand white wine he served (I wish I could remember the name) was slightly on the sweet side but perfect with the lamb. Over all, we loved it and will definitely be back the next time in West Lake Village!
