A traditional old school dive shop. They over fill my HP steel 100s (that's a good thing) but don't have a very good selection of stuff. It's an old business that has been around for ages. I've never really liked dive shops. They're a lot like hobby shops. Boisterous older men bragging and bitching.
Great dive shop. I have been a customer for years. Got my open water cert here and highly recommend for gear and training.
i go here to get my dive tank refilled for my air guns. there are all kinds of dive equipment avail if your looking for that. if your tank's inspection tag is over a year old you will have to pay for a hydro test no matter what. before they moved to this new location they were in the pet shop across the st.
Not many places fill nitrox, or custom nitrox blends, South shore divers does. I live on the Cape and every staff member knows me by name when I call in or walk in. I often have friends that live in Boston drop off my tanks for me, they are very accommodating in this regard. Al and his team are a good team, I recommend them.
Stopped in the South Shore Divers to get a tank fill and just check them out as I am new to the area. The staff took time to answer my questions about local diving, gave my info about a local dive club and I ended up leaving with an awesome deal on new dry suit undies. This will become one of my local dive shops I will frequent. Would highly recommend them.
I have been a customer of SS Divers for 30 years and was certidied by John Baldy. I do not know who is running the place now but I am certain who ever he is will fail!. I had an issue with an older blond man with longer than normal hair for a man his age. I have never been treated so rudely and disrespect in my life. I think he may have even been drunk or high or something. Normal people let alone businessmen do not act that way. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this guy.
