Best COVID era takeout system! We have been going to Hollywood East Cafe for dim sum for about 25 years now. Always a solid dim sum choice, and top on my list when I come back to visit. This was the first time we've gotten takeout from them during COVID. First of all, if you order through their website they have a choice for curbside pickup, where they will text you when the food is ready, and when you get there, text them, and they will bring the food to your car. I forgot that I had selected curbside pickup, but I'm glad I did, because otherwise I would not have experienced their amazing contactless pickup system! They keep the door to the street open, so you do not need to go into the mall or touch any door handles. Then, they only allow one person in at a time and there is about a 5x10ft space, with the rest of the restaurant blocked off, such that you can't even see it. When you enter, the aunty greats you via a video call on a tablet that is setup at head hight. You talk to her through the video call and tell her your name. Then, a box opens remotely to reveal your takeout bags inside! You never see another real person, and the only thing you have to touch is the bag itself! Such a genius system!
Delicious dim sum and the Chinese New Year dragon show was extremely entertaining. We had a great time, and will definitely be back soon for more dim sum!

I absolutely love Hollywood East. IMO, you can't go wrong with anything you order. And the Dim Sum is the best I've ever had, so fresh and delicious. The variety and quality of the food is fantastic! If you are considering going there to eat, stop thinking about it and go - you won't be disappointed! And make sure to say Hello to Alan and Janet, the owners - they are super friendly and will take great care of you. You can tell them your food likes and they will recommend the best food! It's just the BEST!
American style and authentic Chinese food also dim sum is available here. I have had a few great meals here and a few times not so good. They are friendly and helpful to correct any problems. I haven't been in a while but today we had a lunch special and dim sum everything was good and the service was great. Worth the walk through the Mall to eat lunch and then go to Target, I don't like to shop hungry!
Good authentic Chinese (Cantonese ) food dishes. Family owned restaurant for over 20 years in the Wheaton area. Decent size portion for the price. Good service.
