This is a great place. They also help the homeless and the guy that took my case was great and was able to me my legal document that I had lost. They really do do a good job.
I was referred here from the VA. I went to court for an eviction from a HUD funded project. A lawyer called me and I went into their office. While talking to him he seemed as willing to help me as my worst enemy. He seemed to have already talked to my landlord and made up his mind not to help me. We went to court when the judge called us up my lawyer from Prairie State Legal walked out of the court room. I was on my own and at the mercy of my landlords attorney. The judge gave me a continuance. I went back several times, more continuances. We finally had a bench trial. Prior to this I did a lot of research on the internet till all hours of the night for several weeks. In conclusion I represented myself and won. I would recommend AGAINST calling this place.
Great experience! The lawyer, Ms. Laura Myers, was amazing, so lovely, very nice, highly professional, and helped me alot. I would recommend it.
