Just returned from a week at the ranch and can't wait to go back! I can't say enough about the staff here. What an amazing group of people!! The wranglers are so great and matched me with the sweetest horse (Miss Mocha). The rides were fun and the wranglers were all so knowledgeable and welcomed questions. Safety was a top priority with 1 wrangler for every 4 guests. The office staff, kitchen....everyone was so great! I could list so many people, but I wouldn't want to leave anyone out! If I'm being totally honest, the food wasn't the greatest for the first couple of days, but they hit their groove by mid week and it was great! I'm not counting that against them because I think with COVID, it required some adjustments and things weren't quite running the way they normally would have. The accommodations were great! The room was clean and the staff left sweet little notes and gifts in the room everyday. Anything you needed, everyone was happy to help. We're already talking about our next trip.....gotta do the cattle drive!!! Thank you Bar W for an amazing week with my family!! So hard to leave. ️

My husband and I had the most FANTASTIC experience at Bar W Guest Ranch. We went late in the season (October 2019) during the Photographer week. We were a little worried that it might be too cold, but the weather was BEAUTIFUL. The trees were the most brilliant shade of yellow, and the scenery could not have been more picturesque. We stayed in the Bear Den, the first floor of the cabin - it was so cozy and perfect for two. A comfy lounge area, great king bed, nice bathroom, and a front porch that overlooked the horse pastures. I haven't even gotten to the riding part yet - we went on trail rides every day that were in stunning scenery. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Loved having our own horses for the week! Fulfilled my childhood dream! The food was also DELICIOUS. It is served family style, and we enjoyed getting to know the other guests during our stay. I can't say enough positive things about Bar W. If you're looking for a quality dude ranch experience in a beautiful place, this is it. Thank you, Bar W for the best vacation ever!
This is such a beautiful ranch. The Eagles Nest cabin we are staying in is a tribute to the western lifestyle and quite comfortable. The cowboys and cowgirls are quite knowledgeable and very patient with the riders and they did a great job of matching riders to the horses we will ride all week. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a dude ranch vacation. It is also great for kids!
I traveled alone to Bar W for the June 2018 Cattle Drive and had a BLAST. The head wrangler did a fantastic job matching everyone with a horse of current skill level. We all got incredibly close during the week as Dave does a great job facilitating the family feel of the ranch. To date it's still one of the best vacations I've ever been on. I didn't want to go home and have been talking about moving out there ever since.
I went last week (May 26th-June 1st). From day 1 everyone there treated me like family. Very fun staff, that go out of there way to make sure you have a good time. I visited solo but felt like family. I made time to go fishing and enjoyed every min. The other guest made the experience awesome. You will walk away with friends from all over. Do NOT be afraid to travel solo here. It is a great place rejuvenate your sole.

BEST GUEST RANCH UNDER THE BIG SKY! What an incredible experience! The staff at the Bar W Guest Ranch went above and beyond to make my stay exceptional. Clean comfortable accommodations in a picturesque setting, knowledgeable, helpful staff made my Adults Only week one to remember. I traveled alone but never felt that way thanks to the incredible hospitality, but the ranch would also be the perfect place for couples, girlfriend getaways, and family vacations. The food was plentiful, good, and healthy and they make adjustments per the guests' preferences or dietary concerns. I rode to my heart's content, which is what I came here to do. The horses are gorgeous and healthy and treated well. I was a little rusty, not having ridden in a while, but the staff had me feeling confident after the first day. I would definitely recommend the Bar W to anyone looking for an exceptional quest ranch experience. I loved it so much, I hope to come back next year!
The staff here is great!! The trails and rides are very good. The fly fishing lesson was good but then he took us to a tiny pound..not good. Some of the activities were good especially the Rodeo. The Wi-Fi in the rooms was bad. The food was terrible!! Overall 3.5 star.
