Not much to like about the 206 district. The superintendent, principal, and most of the school board protect and hide teachers and there bad behaviour. Some should have been fired years ago. The students come second. This use to be a good district. Over the years they have hidden sexual misconduct , bullying, cursing at students all done by teachers and other staff. I guess the board and super have forgotten their first responsibilities are to the students and parents. Not to protect and hide the misconduct of the school staff. If a teacher finally let go, they leave with no consequences, so I guess they can do the same at the next school. If you are looking for a district that puts your kids first, don't bother sending them here.

I have to disagree with the other reviews of my home town school. As a kid, I never thought much about the quality of education I received in USD 206. However, as I went to college and had no trouble keeping good grades and my classmate from other hometowns struggled, it made me consider how lucky I was to have had the kind of education Remington schools provided to me. My wife isn't a simple minded person, but she struggled in college. Wichita schools had not prepared her for post high school life and educations. To this day, I consider the majority of my teachers as friends and will have contact with them every so often. They not only remember me, but have interest in where my life has gone after leaving their care. My wife doesn't remember many of her teachers and none of the teachers in Wichita schools cared to remember her. Food for thought! I am very grateful to all of the wonderful people who have helped me to be who I am today! I am now a parent of two kids in USD 206, I chose to come home and give my kids the same quality education I received!
