I always look forward to traveling south on vacation, because then I get to stop by my favorite fabric store WHITTLES!!! I just Love shopping at there charming store in person and really happy with selection online. Reasonable prices and EXTRA FAST SHIPPING!!! These pictured bags/purses I have created and sell on Etsy (Wearable Art by Edye) with fabrics from there shop through the years.

I purchased a sewing machine last week at this place. I paid over 1000 for this investment after much research. I decided on this place. I drove almost two hours for this purchase. I was told that it was brand new out of the box. When the staff told me they had to take to take the machine out of the box to “check it out” , I didn’t question them as I thought it was customary for their store to ensure customer satisfaction. After two days at home I tested the machine out , to see dirt on the foot pedal, much fabric scraps around the metal parts above the needle and 114,000 stitches. After speaking to the manufacturer , I was told that the average “new” sewing machine after in-house testing was about “500” stitches, I new immediately that I was played. I returned it the following Monday. The only thing good I can say is this store actually refunded my money without question. Of course, no one apologized or explained how this “new” machine has so many used stitches!!
