The sudden passing of a loved one is hard on a family. Especially when she was caring for her very sick daughter. The feeling her daughter had for her mother was love so deep to say the least. Her mother had requested a simple cremation thanks to Shelby at Baker Funeral Home she made this happen. The daughter severely Ill was admitted to the hospital the day of arranging the cremation. Shelby so passionate about the deceased and her daughter took total charge to see the deceased wishes were granted. Giving the daughter peace of mind. That caring of Shelby cannot be expressed enough. Thank you Baker Funeral Home especially Shelby during this time of mourning. The deceased daughter is still recovering in the hospital. But her mind is at ease now concentrate on her own recovery. Thank you again..

Horrible customer service. Shelby, the funeral home director is never in the office and never available. They NEVER return phone calls so I had to physically go into the building to even get my mothers obituary added to their website and the Wichita Eagle. It was 2 weeks after my mother passed that her obituary, that I had to write myself, got added. Totally dis-respectable to my mother. All it took was a copy and paste function that would have taken a matter of 5 minutes but it wasn't until I physically went into their office and complained that it finally got done. Had to go back into their office as well to get the death certificates because no one would either answer the phone or no one would ever return a call from the messages that were left. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Horrible people my sister-in-law’s grandma's funeral was supposed to start at 11 today. They were told they would be at the cemetery 30 min before the services were supposed to start. My sister-in-law and my brother show up at 10:30 no one was there in fact they didn't show up to the cemetery till almost an hour later after services were supposed to start. Nobody called to let them know what was going on. It took them forever to get in touch with someone from the funeral home. When they finally did they were given 3 different excuses 1. they couldn't find the funeral director 2. the director was in a meeting with another family the same time our funeral was and 3. they had car problems. I WOULD NOT...AND I REPEAT... DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE FOR YOUR FUNERAL NEEDS!!!
If I could give less than one star, I would. My Grandma's funeral was supposed to be at 11. The funeral home told us they would be here before 11 to have everything set up for us. My husband and I got at the cemetery at 10:30 and nobody was here. Grandma was late to her own funeral, thanks to Baker Funeral Home of Wichita. She was NEVER late for ANYTHING! At 11:50, they FINALLY got the cemetery. My Grandma's funeral started an hour late all thanks to them. They gave us 3 lies... they said they were in a meeting with a family, they had car troubles, and they couldn't find the funeral director. They also said that they were going to have pall bearers to carry Grandma to her grave, but NOPE! My husband, my nephew, my uncle, my uncles friend, the funeral director and the grave digger carried Grandma to her grave... To say I'm irate is an understatement. We will NEVER be using Baker Funeral Home for ANYTHING in the future.
