I had really high hopes before visiting this store and was very disappointed with the customer service. I recently replaced my stolen equipment with a new Nikon set up and decided to stop by to see what the only camera store in town might have to offer for rebuilding my equipment set. Walked around the store a few minutes to get a feel for what is available and noticed they had a lot of vintage equipment. At this point I wasn't really expecting them to have many new lenses for my D5500 but I was willing to see what they had and thought they may have 1 or 2 used ones. An employee greeted me and I asked if they had any Prime lenses for Nikon. I got a blank stare and it was immediately obvious that they had no idea what I was talking about or at least no clue what Nikon equipment they had. That didn't really bother me I don't expect everyone to know everything in the store. Another employee said they had one and that it was an older model, again doesn't bother me because it's obvious they carry mostly vintage stuff. Then I asked if they had any macro extension tubes and got another blank stare, the other employee informed me they don't have any and then told me \No one in Wichita uses Nikon\. This seemed like an aggressive way of telling me they don't have anything for me. It really didn't seem like anyone there cared to even attempt to give any useful advice or options. If any of the 3 or 4 people there had even recommended an older macro lense or tried to tell what they do have I would probably have gotten a better impression. If you are looking for Canon or vintage equipment then you will probably get a more positive reaction from staff but if you are another Nikon user (There is at least 2 of us right?) then don't waste the gas visiting this place. It's a shame to because I was hoping to at least get my lighting equipment here in town instead of online.

This is a very difficult review for me to write as I never feel strongly enough to do reviews, but in short, the Manager of this business made me feel extremely uncomfortable and ill at ease. I was there for help and information and potentially to buy a camera for my hobby and all of the interaction with this person was extremely inappropriate in tone and nature. I would STRONGLY recommend that the ownership reevaluate this individual being given access to the general public. I will never again go to this business and caution any who do be aware of this.

I typically try to support local businesses especially being a photographer and not many place in town left. I've been here twice, and twice I was left disappointed. After this second time, I'm not coming back. I visited the store about 8 years ago and was treated very poorly as a first time customer. I said I wouldn't come back again, but earlier this year, 2020, I had a gig and needed some things quick so I decided to give them another try. Boy was this time worse than the last. Long story short, I felt like my business was not wanted and I was an inconvenience to their time by asking too many questions. I was disrespected and the person helping me treated me like I was an incompetent. Keep in mind that I've been in the game for over 10 years and know my technology quite well. I almost walked out not buying anything, but I needed the item for my job next day so I ended up buying the items. This time,for real, I'm not returning. I'll plan better next time.
