My husband had found a baby turtle in the road. It had been hit by a car and was bleeding. We wanted the little turtle to live, so we sent it here to give it a chance. Within days they had it rehabilitated. We were able to pick the turtle up from the rehabilitation center and take it back to the area that we found it in. Their staff and volunteers are a blessing to our wildlife.

This place is awesome!! I have no problem driving a hour and a half to take animals here because I know they’ll be well taken care of. The very friendly staff meets you at the door and immediately takes the animal to start caring for it. You can tell that they love their job. They assured me that they have someone taking care of the animals 24/7 and they even give you a case number so you can call and see how the animal is doing.

These guys are great with the wildlife. Picked up the squirrels that we had taken and turned them loss in the yard. They are such happy babies, love watching them play

We encountered the rudest staff when dropping off a wild animal. No compassion or manners. Jackie the tech intern was unbelievably unprofessional, and disdainful, annoyed by my questions, including about the facility's euthanasia practices. They told me the next day when I called to check on the status of the animal that it had died unexpectedly 24 hours after drop off but had still not been seen by a veterinarian. I asked to be called by one and was told they would not because the veterinarian had not seen it. They refused to tell me what protocol treatment it received by the technicians, and claimed it all was "confidential information." We drove over 2 hours thinking that this was the best rehabilitation center around because of their affiliation with the NC Zoo. Please do not make the same mistake unless you enjoy being bullied by a bunch of incompetent know-it-alls.

I found chimney swifts in my fire place they were infant size little birdies. They took them and have them a chance to live... I'm very impressed.
