We took a tour and loved it! The guides were very friendly and informative. The kids had fun. They take you around the block to very old but super well-kept church history buildings. It's not a lot of walking, as everything is close by. There's a video presentation too.

It’s a fun place to learn of the church. I’ve been here at least three times. I will say however that someone needs to add a marker for the sawmill.

Fantastic historic site of great significance to members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Many interpretive exhibits, a visitor's center, and a number of restored buildings from historic Kirtland, the headquarters for the early Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The highlight is the Whitney Store, where Joseph Smith resided for a time and where a number of revelations significant to Latter-day Saints were received--also the location of the \School of the Prophets.

Learned so much about the history of the LDS Church and it's humble beginnings. The cute Sister missionaries were helpful and knowledgeable. The room above the Whitney store was very emotional for me. I loved hearing the stories of the church I love.

By the look of the place it's just an old store, but this place always fills me with a spirit of the Gospel. I can almost hear the voices of Newel Whitney and Joseph Smith.
