Hans Herr House was built in 1719 by my ancestor. I toured the house in 2015 but went back to see the grounds and the exterior of the house in 2020. We were unable to tour due to cancellations of tours because of CoVid 19. The house is a great example of Mennonite history in the region and is the oldest Mennonite Church in the Western Hemisphere still standing which was also the Herr family house on their homestead. My ancestors are buried in the nearby cemetery.

Oldest original house in Lancaster county. Very interesting tour and very knowledgeable tour guide. We also visited the long house and I was pleasantly surprised that there were so many items for kids to touch and learn about close up. I would highly recommend this place to anyone (history enthusiasts or otherwise)!
