My daughter had her wedding here and it was absolutely perfect. The venue is beautiful. Katie, the coordinator, was on top of things every minute. She accommodated our every desire if it was within her power. She made sure we were all comfortable, including guests, kept things moving on time and was always, always pleasant. She even made sure to bring champagne and tiny snacks to my daughter and son-in-law during cocktail hour because they were busy having pictures taken. The rest of the staff was also wonderful. Cannot recommend Bakery 105 enough!

This was the perfect place for our event of 100 people. We had a great time dancing, eating, and drinking. I loved that the attached courtyard gave us a place to step outside and take a break when needed. It was beautifully laid out, and the location is amazing!
We held our father's 90 birthday party at Bakery 105 and had so much fun! The staff, the location, the venue, and everyone involved were amazing. They were so accommodating on every level. We were very pleased with everything. Thank you Bakery 105 and staff!
Credibility: I'm a professional Wedding DJ & sound engineer who hosts local bridal shows and has DJ'd over 300 weddings. I'd like to say first and foremost, Katie Swain is a GRADE A coordinator. She blends all your hired pros into a team and keeps everyone in-the-know and goal oriented. She's smart, keeps a cool head and is a serious problem solver! By far, she is the best coordinator I've seen in my many years as a wedding DJ. The rest of their team from the top down were all personable and seemed genuinely happy to be involved. The venue itself is kept well, in good repair for the age, and there are unlimited ways you could decorate it, but the old rustic brick is so interesting, it can create a very cool atmosphere on its own. Now, 5-stars doesn't mean there are no cons...it just means the PROs make them very tolerable. But, there are a few items that could be deal-breakers for some. The outdoor wedding area is a challenge. Between loud motorcycles, low-flying aircraft, a trolley that has seriously squealing brakes every 10 mins, and large horse drawn carts filled with people who occasionally yell \Congratulations\ through the gates into your ceremony... Your nuptials will NOT go un-interrupted. Also, there are only a handful months every year where the temperature will be such that your guests won't be at least a little miserable until the reception. Furthermore, the acoustics of the reception space are difficult for DJs. A DJ with quality equipment and quality music can make it tolerable and danceable, but will never achieve \Great\ sound. Lastly, PARKING. Downtown Wilmington... 'nuff said. All that said, My company highly recommends this venue and its exceptional staff for corporate events and weddings.
