Overall the architecture steals the show. The history of the property is worth nothing. It has some of oldest surviving slave quarters in America. They did a decent job decorating for the holidays. I usually like houses that have more of a lived in feel. The house is sort of sparse with furniture and art. It would be great if overtime they added some historical pieces or put together a collection for the library. Still highly recommend the self guided tour. Note - you have the check out the view from the 4th floor. Best in town!

I loved it. It was a great time to go. Not crowded ,they have a guided tour with detailed information that downloads to your phone. Very historically accurate. And my favorite was the information on the slaves and then to see where and how they lived on that property. The team there has done a great work getting most of servants and former owners lives accounted for.

Great audio tour. This house is beautifully restored and the audio tour provides a rich exploration of the history of the Bellamy family. Nearly the entire mansion and the enslaved servants quarters are open to the tour. This mansion is not handicap accessible.

Stunningly decorated for the holidays. Great way to independently tour and learn about local history and historical culture.
