My girlfriend and I went to Pinpoint for a pre -Valentine's Day dinner. Ambiance -Very clean and open. Not as upscale as I thought, but still nice. Service- Our waitress was really kind and extremely knowledgeable about the cocktails and the menu. The menu changes frequently, so I imagine this can be difficult. Food- The food was good, but nothing special. The portions are good but the flavors were a little lacking. I believe this is only because they wanted to appeal to every palate. Overall- Pinpoint is a great place to get a drink and enjoy some light fare and the people you are with. I would not eat here if great food is your number one goal. Still worth the visit none the less.

This gem is in downtown Wilmington and offers indoor and outdoor dining. We came in because of their 1/2 off wine and oysters promotion and were delighted to see their options. They had many wine options and a sommelier there to help you choose the best option for the table. We started with oysters and wine and enjoyed their Austen's pumpkin dish and cheese platter. The service was at a fine dining level and we had a very friendly waitress. They offer a delicious array of dishes and each plate was beautifully displayed.
Pinpoint restaurant is located in downtown Wilmington, NC in a beautiful restaurant with the original exposed brick. If you are vegan or have dietary restrictions, don’t bother with the published menu,! We were told to call in advance (which is necessary for anyone because they are so popular) and explain that we are vegan, and that we’d be taken care of. And THAT WE WERE! From the soft, warm olive oil bread, to the out of this world roasted butternut squash salad, the meal started out fabulously. Then... omg!! We were blown away. After being vegan nearly 11 years it takes a lot to surprise and delight us. This chef did! We had the most glorious concoction of a molè I could imagine. It was so creamy and slightly spicy. I could not even finish mine. Needless to say, we will be back!
Excellent meal. Really one of the best chefs in Wilmington. Vegetarian cassoulet sounds like an oxymoron but it is fantastic. Kudos!! Flavor-full with winter vegetables I rarely see. Good dining experience. I love the big open space. Always appreciate the frequent water glass refill. highly recommend
Good food. Good presentation. Good service. Definitely worth the money for a date night or a special occasion.
