Cannondale Village was once owned by the actress June Havoc and was a very charming, enchanting place. Unfortunately the current owners are too cheap to maintain it even at a minimal level and over the years have let it run into great disrepair and blight. The School House Restaurant has left, as have other retailers and it is now survived basically by a few cute stores; An English Shoppe a Dog groomer, a ceramic dealer and a florist. Such a shame. The owners really dragged this place into the ground.

This is a weird little assemblage of shops, but I only come here for Rise Donuts (which gets 5*), and none of the other places ever seem open. It is cute enough in that Olde New England way, and it’s super convenient to MetroNorth (if you consider MetroNorth convenient), so there’s that.
