Absolutely amazing! Everything surpassed expectation! They welcomed us with a note and Smore kit to eat. Room was very clean and cozy and the spot we had was amazing. If anyone happens to stay at the Delbert house sit at your fire pit and look up to your left. There is a perfect cut out between the trees that allows the Big Dipper to fall perfectly in between the tree line between 8:30-11:00 pm. Also anyone who is concerned about the construction mentioned in previous reviews doesn't have to worry, there was no construction in sight and I felt like I could literally hear a pin drop it was so quiet. My only suggestions is the curtains in the cabin. They are great for during the day but at night if you have your lights on in your cabin you can see easily through them from the outside. I never felt creeped out because of it, its just a suggestion for someone in the future who might feel uncomfortable with it. That won't stop me from returning or giving one less star. Thanks for the amazing visit, I look forward to coming back in the fall! (:

We stayed for two different trips, it's been a fun experience. This gave us a chance to connect with nature and enjoy a campfire setting. The cabins are great, It may be tight for other individuals.
Our stay was great. Cabin has a nice modern minimalistic look to it and the interior was clean when we arrived. I like that they provide salt pepper and packaged olive oil. Firewood and fire starter logs are provided at additional cost. There is cellular service at the cabin (at least with TMO). Gets pitch black at night so its great for star gazing. It was cold and rainy on the night we stayed so we couldn't see the stars :( but it felt nice and cozy to be in the cabin looking out into the wilderness through the huge window by the bed and listening to the rain falling on the roof. If you are looking for a getaway far from the city and even neighboring travelers, this is a great choice! I would definitely stay again.
We had a wonderful anniversary there. We were pretty worried about getting a cabin that was right next to the construction but we were not near it and hardly heard anything. The bed was very comfortable and most items needed were supplied. We appreciated the personal touches of rose petals on the bed and a signed card for the occasion. We would definitely book again, hopefully we could request the same cabin.
My husband and I just got back from our Getaway stay and absolutely loved it! The cabin was perfectly clean and the area was quiet and peaceful. 100% recommend and will definitely be back.
This place is amazing in every possible way. I was skeptical at first due to the negative reviews and it's true that a major pipeline construction is going on right next door. It is also true we could hear distant noise in the morning. However, this place is magical and our stay was perfect. We loved the cabin, the location, the privacy, the fire pit outside where we grilled our kabobs. I highly recommend to anybody looking to have a different experience, with the perfect blend between nature and amenities. Take a look, see it yourself.
I had a lovely time ringing in the new year here with rest and some time in nature! I love this outpost in Wimberly, the cabins are perfectly compact and thought out so you have everything you need. The staff always seems to leave thoughtful touches which are so welcoming! My partner, pups and I had a great stay and will definitely be back again!
Yikes! I booked a cabin here in March for my husband’s birthday in May. We received a text a week before check-in telling us there was nearby construction and that we could cancel for a refund or get a night free for future use. I checked to see if I could find another cabin in the area to rent, but had no luck with it only being a week out, so we took our chances. They did not disclose that the construction is large scale industrial construction - the Permian Highway Pipeline. It’s taking place directly behind the Getaway property and construction is currently going on seven days a week. What really disturbed me is that this project didn’t just happen within the last week and should have been disclosed when we originally booked. If I had known this a couple months ago, we could have made other plans before everything else was booked up. This is a very misleading way to conduct business. I requested a cabin far away from the construction noise and we were put in one closest to it. We requested to be moved and they put us in a different cabin that had not been cleaned (which feels extra scary in a pandemic) so we had to move back to the noisy cabin. We stayed there the first night and after much back and forth we were placed in a different cabin for our second night that was quieter, but overlooked the pipeline, which was also pretty depressing. I feel like this place is not up front with the real situation out there. We will not be using the “free” night and would not recommend this property to anyone.
