Beautiful montain laurel flowers this time of year. Peaceful waterfall just off the trail marked by a pink plastic ribbon at the fork. Couple areas of rock scramble and water crossing.

Amazing views from the pinnacle, but the hike is no joke. Seriously the hike kicked my butt, you'll be doing some serious elevation changes there and back, it is litterally uphill both ways. There is a cool water fall not far from the peak, this is a nice spot to divert and recharge a bit before the final accent. The viewpoint is beautiful and you can set there an soak up the sun for a long time admiring the views. Round trip is about 5.5 miles, trail head is at 3200ft and you'll get as low as 1740 feet in the middle of the hike. Wear appropriate shoes, you'll be navigating ALOT of rocks and boulders on the path, do not forget to bring water. There is a way to cheat this. If you drive a little ways down the road from the trailhead is a access road, this will take you almost all the way to the viewpoint without any major elevation changes. So if you're looking for the view and feeling lazy, this might be for you.
