Windsurf ME is great, Ian is the man! I had been interested in windsurfing after a windy day of SUP and bought some used gear. My first times out I was struggling and would last about 20 seconds before I fell in the drink. My days would end exhausted paddling desperately back upwind. Looking for different gear, I found Windsurf-ME online and reached out to Ian. He was immediately helpful over the phone and told me to come up to Androscoggin Lake have a lesson and try out some of his gear. A few weeks later I paid him a visit and it was exactly the boost I needed. After a short demo and some explanation of how to steer we were on the water! By the end of the day I was a changed man! I was feeling confident and was tacking and gybing almost like I knew what I was doing. When I got home I immediately pulled up the weather and looked for the next day to go out. Ian is super helpful, hes about the love of the sport and selling you the right gear, not just selling the gear he has. He's also a rare expert in the type of gear you need specific to New England conditions. If you are a newcomer to the sport I HIGHLY recommend reaching out to him as I did, you will not be disappointed. His cost for lessons are extremely reasonable for what you get in return. His setup on the lake is pretty much ideal for beginners. Whatever you do don't waste money on gear until you understand what you need!
