I only have good things to say about WNMH. Impeccably clean at all times, so important. Staff is helpful and friendly. Wait times for testing and ER are short. Snack bar and caffeteria on ground floor.

My daughter has a lump in her breast. You guys did a sonogram. Said watch it. It has gotten a lot larger. Her doc called you guys for a biopsy. My daughter waited 2 weeks heard nothing. She called her doctor. Her doctor then called a place in Wichita. A week after that she called that place because they never made her appointment. They said insurance wants another sonogram. Her doc calls you guys again to set her up with a sonogram. Made appointment for the 27th you guys called her today and canceled it. Changed appointment for the 10th of november. I am her mother. Always loved our hometown hospital. I am very concerned over this. You would be if it was your daughter. What would you do. Call you guys throw a fit or get a lawyer to call you guys.

This hospital should be investigated for fraud. The medical director of their wound center purposely didn’t approve patients for hyperbaric oxygen therapy so he could get rid of the contractor running the center and get the contract cancelled. He did it at the behest/wishes of the nurses running the center with him because they wanted to have complete control regardless of what was best for the patients.

My issues arent with quality of care. Its with the billing department. Two times I went to the er for what I felt were life threatening issues. Being a veteran, I presented my VA I'd card and informed them to bill the VA as this hospital was the closest option. (Standard procedure) I later find out that the VA didnt get all the proper documentation and that my accounts were being threatened to be sent to collections. When I asked why they werent being paid I was told because the VA declined it. Called the VA and that was false. When I asked for them to send proper docs the billing department told me if I wanted the VA to pay, I would have to do it myself and take the documents to the proper channel. They also told me that they didn't want to call because they would be put on hold for \too long\. This is literally the same thing I would have to do, except I'm not getting paid to do their job. Went to urgent care presented the same card and was seen with out being billed and no questions asked. Literally will never go back to WNH and all because their billing dep.
