Great view. Easy parking. Much more secluded from the rest of Acadia since it's on the Schoodic Peninsula. You can get there easy from the park shuttle as well if you don't want to drive. Good view of the Atlantic ocean (see my other review on that). Climb around on the rocks (be careful - the lower ones can be slippery).

There is a good amount of parking here. It's located right on the coast, so you've got a great view of the open water and the rocky shores nearby. The shore is very rocky, which makes it an interesting area to explore. During low tide, you can find tide pools in the rocks with an assortment of best-looking sea critters. This is a very relaxing area and a great spot for a peaceful outdoor picnic.

The most gorgeous spot in the state of Maine! Where the mighty Atlantic furiously meets Maine's rocky coast! Spectacular! Part of Acadia National Park. Well worth the drive!

This is glorious spot where the Atlantic Ocean comes crashing ashore. The granite foundation of Maine juts out to pull the ocean ashore with loud crashes as hurling spumes of surf spray into the air while the tide rushes ashore. When the tide turns, it leaves behind thousands of tide pools to search for small crabs, periwinkles, and all sorts of sea life for our moments of exploration. There are numerous side places to visit in this part of Acadia National Park, less visited than on Mount Desert Island but arguably more interesting. There are also parts of the peninsula less well-known but also exciting and interesting. Explore them all. Respect the property of private owners. And you will make it your own place to go when you again come to Maine.

Great weekend! Nice trails to beautiful peaks overlooking the Atlantic. Many places to pull over and explore. We saw cotton tail rabbits, deer and American Bald Eagles. Will be returning with our boys this summer.
