WOW! What an efficient voicemail system! The voicemail system is full, so the system tells you it is forwarding you to an attendant... Guess who that might be? YES! the same voicemailbox that was full. AMAZING efficiency there. You are literally in a loop. But... patience wins the day (sort of). After about 4-5 cycles through this loop, you are suddenly spit out into a voicemail that is not full, to leave your message; that probably won't be returned. *sigh*

Lovely staff, however they are in much need of training. I always plan half a day when submitting for permits since the lack of communication and misinformation between staff and departments is a challenge. Only the few senior members know their jobs to the full extent to carry out a seamless transaction.

They give inaccurate information on responses, or don't respond at all. They should all be fired for incompetence or laziness.

Unbelievable inconsistency in relating information to contractors. 5 different people, 5 different answers for the same question. They are the only county in N Virginia that makes rules up with no consistency. Every time we go to pull a permit, we get something different. They choke small business to death. They are part of the reason businesses don’t pull permits. They make it so hard to do the right thing.
