I've been to two events at Groove so far, and I'm pretty impressed. The first event there was standing only (no seats put out), which was fine given the type of show. On my second visit, there was seating and where one would except hard, uncomfortable seats, these were very comfortable and well cushioned. The acoustics are surprisingly good and sound quality is excellent front to back. There was a race event going on at the same time and while parking was crowded, we were still able to find a spot. My only complaint is the bar - there's just a single bar, and it took 12 minutes from the time I got in line to reach it. Management should *strongly* consider adding a second bar, and maybe even a third.

Awesome shows there. Saw BBC they was really great. Then came Double Down. Awesome southern rock loved it. Then came Blackfoot. The wildest lead guitar player I've ever seen and so good. The whole evening there was great. Diffenitly will go back. The venue it great too.
This is a great venue if you love to dance. Line dance Cheri orchestrates a fantastic evening of line dancing and partner dancing. She teaches and coaches at least three line dances every Thursday at Dominion Speedway. All ages participate in her classes. Between classes there is open dance for line dances two steppers and whatever other dances you would like to participate in. The floor is excellent, the sound system is fanominal, and the DJ is the bombdigity! The bar has a nice variety of beer and mix drinks, and the food is very good, heavy appetizers. The facility is very new and bathrooms super clean. The staff is fantastic, they go way out of their way to take care of their patrons. Handicap accessible this place is fantastic for family functions dancing, enjoying great music, friends and family. There is a 5 cover charge but for what you get this is a real bargain. This is a great way to spend your Thursday nights and meet new folks and learn new dances, or just sit relax, have a drink or soda, and enjoy the great time. Bring the whole family and dance the night away.
