I usually don't write negative reviews, but I left so frustrated and unhappy, I think it warrants it. I made a reservation, was promptly greeted and had the option to seat myself. That was the only thing good about the experience besides the wine, that and they took necessary covid Precautions. I was by myself, felt incredibly rushed at the beginning and never again was checked on after I got my tasting. The server left the area for several minutes as I was finishing the tasting. No big deal until glasses were empty and she made eye contact and proceeded to walk past me. Didn't say, \I'll be right back\, \give me a moment\. I had to call her to get acknowledged. Then as I'm checking out, you would think she would've said at minimum, \do you want to take anytime home with\, \did you enjoy our selection?\... just took my card and swiped. I proceeded to tell her I had a bad experience and all she says is, \sorry about that\... mind you, it was NOT busy. Even with 25% capacity, not busy. The wine was delicious and I came with the intent to buy, but left unhappy, frustrated and without a purchase.

Great little wine tasting stop. First time visiting and I liked several wines. The person I went with was a member and after tasting the wines I understood why. I can't compare it to other wineries in the area, only to wineries in california. You will not be disappointed.

Not impressed. My husband and I were excited to try Matthews because the setting always looked so cute and they have outdoor seating - perfect for social distancing! We made a reservation and the hostess asked if we prefer sun or shaded seating — we both agreed on the sun. She walked us over to a spot (not under the tent), which was totally shaded and said, well, maybe the sun will move eventually. We didn’t really mind the shade, but thought it was odd since there were plenty of two-person tables in the sun available. We sat at our shaded table for over 10 minutes without a waitress. I went inside to order, thinking our assumptions of being waited on were incorrect (they weren’t). Someone finally came over to serve us a tasting. My favorite winery tasting experiences either have 1. Great service, no waiting, or 2. A server who is very interactive, telling stories, etc. Matthews has neither. Wine was okay. I recommend going and ordering bottle service at the tables with the umbrellas and bringing our own lunch/picnic.

The seating arrangements were good and the setting was nice. They were nice to accommodate us without prior reservation. However, the server kept pouring the different tasting samples/wines in the same glass. Also I would have preferred some cheese/fruit plate( at least for purchase) as a pallette cleanser. At one point all wines tasted like soap due to pallette fatigue.

Such an incredible winery! Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They went the extra mile to make this one of our best wine tastings ever. Highly recommend.
