I absolutely love Woodloch! I have been riding here since I was seven(almost a decade now) and though I have been to several other barns, Woodloch is my all time favorite! All of the people saying that the horses have cuts or injuries obviously don’t understand that THAT’S HOW HORSES WORK! They play rough with other horses and that’s normal, they can handle it. Also for the people saying “Go to Windy Ridge!” I actually have a friend at Woodloch who has learned more in four months here than TWO YEARS at Windy Ridge!(She left Windy Ridge because she hated it) I have an APH here and he is so well cared for! The barn crew staff are always so sweet to the horses, and they also help the horse learn manners if the horse is being pushy. When I need help or to ask a question there is always someone around to answer or help me. The lessons are also wonderful! The instructors all have a passion for teaching and actually want to help the kids learn to be confident riders. They are very patient when the riders are having a hard time and also have a great sense of the rider’s comfort zone so they are pushing them just a little, but it’s still fun for the rider. I would recommend Woodloch to anyone looking for a place to board or take lessons.

A very nice community of riders and the family that owns Woodloch has been a second family to me. If you are looking for a farm to board at Woodloch is a perfect place.

Fantastic barn with a supportive community that feels like family in the best way. It’s a busy barn which I find to be positive because I enjoy the social aspect of riding. They’ve provided fantastic care to my mare and I have confidence that she’s happy and very well cared for when I’m gone.

My 9 year old enjoyed the experience , however this did not meet my expectations as far as training and instruction. I would have liked to see more time spent on proper care of the horse both before and after riding , as well as proper posture and practices while on the horse. Again , this was a fun evening however I do not consider the lessons comprehensive or meaningful . Helmets are not required , and this is not okay!

I lease a horse here and it's an amazing experience for me and to help the horse learn. Lessons are incredible and not only teach you how to ride they teach you how to train a horse and take care of them. The younger boarders and workers do give some dirty looks but that isn't the places fault. Anywhere you go there are cliques.
