My father has been a resident for 2 years. In the beginning it was rough, a lot of turn over. However, under the leadership of Jaime. nursing direction from Jay, Rich, and Reggie, things have turned around for the better. They were one of the first to recognize Covid for what is was and restrict visitors. Then they instituted weekly testing, way ahead of other facilities. If there is a positive case or employee, they immediately take action. This has resulted in a low number of residents and staff who have become ill with the disease. We.are currently able to have video visits, and Dad appears well taken care of, which in turn has decreased our families anxiety when we are unable to visit. I also appreciate Irma, Mary, Doris and Judy.

Came in real quick to ask a few questions.. Lady named ‘Mary’ at the front has a horrible attitude, she seems annoyed. I didn’t even finish asking all my questions, I literally had walk away because her attitude was getting to me. Makes me wonder, if that’s how they treat a person asking questions.. how do they treat the residents once they’re locked in there..?? Yikes. Definitely a place to do some homework on before you put a family member in there..
Beautiful place, professional and very friendly staff. Better than any assisted living around. Brand new facility
My mom was the 21st resident at Cedarhurst and has been there over 2 years. She has been very happy there especially sitting in the large, open lobby. The facility is always clean and inviting She also likes sitting in the dining room which has a \homey\ feel. She has also enjoyed the many, varied activities including special parties (July 4th bbq) and the entertainment provided throughout the year. During this COVID pandemic, Cedarhurst staff even provided \hallway\ activities such as \hallway ice cream socials and hallway happy hour\. She enjoys the interactions she has with the staff. Mom is happy at Cedarhurst.
My father has been a resident of Cedarhurst for nearly 2 years. The facility is new and we were very pleased with his room choice. Cedarhurst was ahead of many assisted living facilities by locking down due to Covid 19 immediately and obtaining testing capabilities before the majority of facilities. The safety of the residents has been their primary concern. We are happy that my 93 year old father is safe. I have found the staff to be friendly, helpful and responsive. I am very happy with Jamie Pugh, the Senior Executive Director. She has been very responsive to our questions and concerns and she responds personally to emails. She has instituted a monthly zoom resident council meeting to communicate with the families of the residents and to discuss questions and concerns. She was very upfront about the high turnover rate the prior year which has now been brought down to below industry average. These are very difficult times for everyone and Cedarhurst is balancing the states legal requirements with family requests.
