Our visit to this restaurant was so disappointing that to spend more than one minute reviewing it will be a waste of my time. Bottom line is we ordered our brunch items, all came out cold. French toast, eggs, chicken, Eggs Benedict, macaroni and cheese all were cold. Waitress took them back right away, manager came out two minutes later with our same plate and said they went ahead and heated them up for us in the microwave. They said the kitchen is slammed and it would take 30 minutes for them to remake our food so they just reheated it. You can imagine how good microwaved fried chicken, eggs Benedict would be. But even worse, the food was still cold. Management offered to give us a discount. Ha ha. We haven’t been to this restaurant in probably six or seven years because the service was so bad previously. We thought we would just give it another try since it had been a such a long time. Never again.

I want so so desperately to like this place, but every time I come I am underwhelmed and disappointed. My boyfriend and I have been in at least 10 times in the last year, and the inconsistency is incredible. I enjoy the drinks and the atmosphere and the poor bartender is so sweet. She is run ragged by the rest of the staff, and while she’s deeply in the weeds, the servers stand around and bark demands at her. Thus she spends more time taking care of the server’s guests than her own. I have never once seen a manager walk around and check up on guests. The pricing on the menu is different from the pricing that actually shows up on the bill. And be wary when ordering certain items because they might have what’s listed, or they might just throw random stuff on the dish to make it look complete. 4 times out of 5 we have ordered the smoked salmon Benedict for brunch, and it wasn’t smoked salmon. Whoever is in charge of this place, I wish you would do better because Freight is a lovely place to dine. I will still continue to come as I wish for the best and that one day it will finally be at 100%

This place really needs better management. Went for Sunday brunch to celebrate a friends birthday and it was a disaster. Only 1 waitress assigned to a group of 17 people. So despite her working as hard as she could, it was difficult for her to keep up. Then it seemed like despite the restaurant being unusually quiet for a sunny fall Sunday afternoon, (see picture) almost every entree was served cold. It seems like the kitchen is lacking the planning or equipment to deal with large groups. It should not take 3 hours to eat brunch in an empty restaurant. This is a great location in downtown Woodstock so really should be better.

Had some fantastic chicken and waffles here, best I've had in a long time. Was a little worried they'd be too sweet after reading the description on the menu, but don't worry: they're perfect.

Food was great as always. Service was a little slow, maybe because we were outside. Our drinks were not filled unless we specifically asked for it. Server was friendly, just wish she were a little more attentive. Felt like we were forgotten since we sat outside. Would like to give 5 stars but the service knocks it down for me.
